Fall Conferences

Fall conferences will be held on October 18th, October 24th and November 8th from 4:00 - 7:30 PM.  All parents are encouraged to schedule an appointment with their child's teacher for a conference.  The days/times have been posted by teacher.  To access the available slots, please click here.  If you are unable to access the conference schedule via this link, please contact the Buckeye Primary School office at 330-722-8257 ext. 4137.

Your username is your student ID (this is the same number as your child’s lunch code, and it is available in Progress Book, and in PayForIt) & your password is your student's birthday (MM/DD/YYYY). Please make sure to include the backslashes. 


School/Lunch Fees

School fees for grades Kindergarten through 3rd are $50.00.  You may send this in with your child or pay online via "".  If you pay with a check, please make it payable to "Buckeye Primary School".

Lunch cost is $3.00; milk is $0.45.  You can pay online through also or send a check or cash in with your child.

Important Dates for the 2018-2019 School Year

October 8th:  First Student Council meeting for 3rd grade classroom reps at 7:45 AM

October 12th:  NO SCHOOL FOR STUDENTS (Staff Development Day)

October 19th: End of the first grading period

October 22nd - 26th:  Red Ribbon Week (see below for schedule of spirit days)

October 23rd:  First session of English Language Arts State testing for 3rd graders

October 24th:  Second session of English Language Arts State testing for 3rd graders;  Unity Day - wear orange

October 26th:  Report cards will be sent home. All unpaid fees from current and previous years must be paid in order to receive your child's report card; Mix-It-Up Day at lunch

October 31st:  Classroom Halloween Parties and Parade.  Parents, if you are planning to attend the costume parade, please do not arrive at school before 1:30 PM.  

Week of November 5th:  Annual Can Food Drive

November 28th:  Picture retakes with Life Touch Photography.

Warm & Fuzzy Days:  All Mondays in November, teachers, students and staff can pay $1 to wear jeans or pajamas.  All money collected will go to help Buckeye families in need this holiday season.

Buckeye Elementary Red Ribbon Week - October 22nd - 26th

Below is a list of Spirit Days and activities that will take place during Red Ribbon Week.  Please encourage your child to participate and show that they are Drug Free!

Monday, October 22nd:  "We are Drug Free".  Wear red to celebrate the start of Red Ribbon Week.

Tuesday, October 23rd:  "Life is Your Journey, Travel Drug Free".  Wear your favorite "destination t-shirt" to show all across the world we are spreading the message to be drug-free.

Wednesday, October 24th:  "Sock it to Drugs".  Wear silly socks to show your support to stay drug free and wear your orange to celebrate Unity Day.

Thursday, October 25th:  "My Future is too Bright for Drugs".  Wear something "Neon" to show your support to live a healthy life!

Friday, October 26th:  "Team Up Against Drugs".  Wear something that shows your support for your favorite sports team while "teaming up against drugs".


Halloween Party:  Wednesday, October 31st

When planning your child's costume, please keep in mind the following:

  • Students will be putting their costumes on in the classroom.  Please make sure they have a costume that can be put on           over their clothing.
  • No scary masks, blood, heavy make-up/face painting, etc. will be allowed.
  • No costumes with weapons will be allowed.

If you are planning to attend the costume parade, please do not arrive at the school before 1:30 pm.  Please park in the visitor parking lot and enter through the main office doors.  There is also additional parking by the soccer fields (do not park in the bus loop parking area). All visitors will be directed to the cafeteria to watch the parade and may go to their child's classroom after the parade.  Parties will end promptly at 2:45 pm to prepare for end-of-day dismissal.

September 11th:    Kick-off of Fall Fundraiser

September 26th:    Sale ends (all order forms need to be turned in by this date and online store closes)

**IMPORTANT**    Delivery day is October 24th from 4:00 - 7:00 PM.  Items are delivered frozen and cannot be held at the                                       school.

November 9th:       Payment is due.  You can pay online or make one check out for entire order. Please make checks payable                                     to Buckeye Primary School.

Important Car Rider Information:

If you plan on picking your child up after school, please send a note in with your child so their teacher and office staff are aware.  The car rider placard's purpose is to help our staff identify which car the child is to get into - we still need to receive communication from you that your child will be picked up.  If you are picking your child up on a permanent basis, we will accept a note covering the entire school year or a specific time period.


Reminder to parent volunteers and visitors:

Per Board policy, photos of students within the classroom are not to be taken without the permission of the teacher.  In addition to this policy, we request that photos not be published on any social media website.





It's official!!  All-day kindergarten has been approved for the 2018-2019 school year at no additional cost to families.  We are excited about the educational benefit that this will provide for our students!  If you have a child who will be 5 on or before August 1, 2018, they are eligible to attend. 






If your student rides a bus to/from school, please click here for information regarding the upcoming school year.  The following situations require a new transportation request form to be completed for your child: if your child is a kindergartener moving up to first grade; if you have moved to a new residence; or if you have made changes to your child's babysitter/daycare provider.  The transportation request form must be completed by July 16, 2018 to guarantee transportation at the beginning of the school year.  











Remind Notification System

REMIND is a free, safe, and easy-to-use communication tool that our Transportation Department utilizes to alert parents, students, and staff with one-way text messaging when buses are running late for pick up and or drop off.

Reporting your child's absence

Absences for students in the Primary Building can be reported by calling 330-722-8257 ext. 9203.  If your child is sick or has an appointment, we ask that you call to report this by 9:30 AM.
